Why My Real Estate Clients are THRIVING (And How You Can Too)

You might be surprised to hear that I'm not talking about spending more time picking up the phone or pounding the pavement or sending thousands of cold DMs. Instead, I'm talking about being intentional with the people you're spending your time with and the things you're spending your time on. If you don't wanna be a broke agent and you want to get off the hamster wheel and finally end the feast and famine cycle...then you've got to stop hanging out with broke agents.

Hear me out on this one. I have the pleasure of working with hundreds of agents across the country and beyond. And I can assure you that not all agents are struggling right now. In fact, many agents I work with are thriving. What do these agents have in common? I'm so glad you asked 😏

Opportunists and Problem Solvers

They hang out with other top producing agents. They aren't wasting their time having conversations about how "bad" things are getting. They're talking about opportunities and how to be problem solvers for their sphere.

They Know Their Numbers

They always know their numbers. They know their market numbers and their personal numbers like the back of their hand. ➡️ How many transactions they did last August vs. this August➡️ How many transactions they have YTD➡️ What their average price point is➡️ What the market average price point is➡️ Average days on market➡️ etc.

They have a plan and they stick to it. If their annual goal is to net $200k, they know exactly how much real estate they need to sell to make that happen. They've considered marketing, overhead, taxes, splits, etc. They're not afraid of the numbers. The numbers are their friend. Take time to reflect on your numbers at regular intervals. Monthly is a great start.

Making Connections

They're well connected. Top agents know they can't do this work in silos. They're connected both within their market (THINK: other real estate professionals, service professionals and community stakeholders) and outside of their market. They've built thriving reciprocal relationships with intention.

They Invest in Themselves

Lastly, they're not afraid to invest in themselves. They trust that when they invest in their own education, they'll always see a return on their investment. If you're struggling to navigate this new market, I encourage you to go back to the basics. Ultimately, people want to do business with people they know, like and trust. If you spend more time on doing what I've outlined above and less time talking about how "bad and scary" things are, you'll start to feel a shift....but this time...in your favor 😉
