There's more to Social Media than your Follower Count: Exactly which Numbers Actually Matter

Contrary to popular belief there's more to Social Media than your follower count.

If you're new to social media and you're struggling to know if it's worth your the time and effort you're putting into it, I can assure you it is.

Here are 3 signs that your social media presence is on the right track (even before you make that first sale).

1. You walk into a brokerage meeting, listing appointment, coffee shop, yoga class, your favorite watering hole, anywhere really and someone says:

a) Soooo you're on TikTok now, huh?

b) I see you in my feed...all πŸ‘ the πŸ‘ time πŸ‘

c) Don't you feel cringey making those videos? I could never.

d) any of the above ⬆️ (or variations of them)

It doesn't matter if what they say is positive, negative or some version of a back-handed compliment...the point is they see you πŸ‘€ #winning

2. You notice that you're getting actual humans talking to you in the DMs. Maybe the convos aren't about real estate, yet. But the fact that someone feels comfortable sliding into your DMs to respond to your story or ask a quick question or give you a compliment means you're on the right path.

3. Your engagement is increasing. You're getting more likes, comments, shares and saves than ever before. This lets you know your audience appreciates your content, instead of just scrolling on, they're taking time to engage with YOU (possibly a total stranger) on the internet 😳

A couple quick tips to keep you going (even before that first sale):

1. Consistency is key. 100% of my clients who posted 5x per week (not just listed/just sold fliers) and were active in their stories daily made their first sale from social media in the first 3-6 months. And it snowballs after that!

2. You have to show your face in your feed. Over and over and over again. It's a non-negotiable. You are your brand. #showmeyourselfie

3. Know who you are and know who you're talking to. The struggles that you have related to content all boil down to not having clarity around your personal brand. When you take the time to focus on this, you'll never have to wonder what to post again πŸ˜‰\
